The successful applicants will contribute to student achievement by providing tutoring and intervention services to students with a wide range of academic needs in the area of Mathematics, in both and individual and small group setting, both in and out of the classroom.
Intervention Specialists Provide math instruction in small groups sessions as well as individual sessions for at-risk students.
Analyze data reporting progress and challenges to the department head.
Provide individualized instruction based on identified academic weaknesses.
Communicate regularly with classroom teachers at school.
Be responsive to the needs of school administrators and teachers.
Participate in monthly compliance audits.
Complete administrative responsibilities throughout the program (i.e. lesson plans, quarterly progress reports etc.). Attend monthly professional development sessions.
Teaching and/or tutoring experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in content area (math or related) or endorsement in Education.
Familiarity with best intervention strategies in math.
Strong classroom management skills.
Previous experience working with an intervention program (preferred but not required).
Experience working with technology-based educational programs
Must be able to type and upload lesson plans, complete online templates and reports on Google Drive, send and open emails, attach and/or review emailed documents, and log in and maneuver through online curriculum programs.
Experience working with Special Education students. (preferred but not required)
30-35hrs per week
- Must pass the district-required background check.
